The rake is a small amount of money which is deducted from each pot. This is how poker rooms make money. Every time you play a hand some of the pot will go back to the poker room in the form of rake.

If you play a lot it might be a good idea to get a rake back deal. This will refund some of the rake back to you. To get an idea of how much rake back you can earn, please see the attached table at the bottom of this page.

If you play less it´s probably a better idea to get a good bonus offer. Also many bigger poker rooms offer loyalty programs today which often are comparable to rake back deals. Absolute Poker and Bet 365 both have loyalty programs which offer points for each played hand. The points can in turn be turned into cash.

Be aware that rake back is usually offered by smaller poker rooms. Smaller poker rooms often mean fewer games and players. Big poker rooms like PartyPoker and PokerStars don´t offer rake back. Instead you sometimes get reload bonuses.

How do I get rake back?

First of all you can´t get rake back from a poker room where you already are registered. You can only get a rake back deal when you sign up for a poker room as a new player. There are a lot of homepages (or sites) offering rake back deals. If you want a rake back deal just go to one of the sites and follow the instructions and register at a poker room of your choice. One of the sites we recommend is RakeBrain. This is a well known rake back site with good rake back offers. We (the authors of this page) use this site ourselves. See also link below.

Our first choise when it comes to rakeback is sun poker and you can find more info about them here: Sun.

If you do not want to go with sun poker you can find other offers by checking into:

RakeBrain

(If choose to register at RakeBrain it will say Simon1905 under referral. This is correct and just shows that we referred you to their site.)

Other rake back sites are easy to find just use google and search for rake back.

How do I know what poker room to choose?

It´s not always that easy to know what poker rooms to choose when finding a rake back deal. You can often get high rake back percentage at the smaller poker rooms but smaller poker rooms also means fewer players, games and tournaments. We suggest you browse through the different deals and try to find a combination of high percentage rake back and a good amount of players and games.

How much rake back can I earn?

If you play a lot you can earn a lot of rake back. See example below. The example is based on fixed limit. Be aware that some poker rooms take less rake and therefore also offer less rake back.
